This primarily residential community also has a business district with shops. There are many private institutions located on the Main Line for PK-12 education, such as the Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy for students in grades 6-12 located in Bryn Mawr; the Torah Academy, a private Jewish educational institution located in Ardmore, serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade. The French International School, a nonsectarian PK-8 school; the Main Line Academy for grades 5-8, and Friends Central in Wynnewood.
